Dental Veneers at Dento Smile

Have you ever wished for instantly straighter, whiter teeth like those seen on television? It’s likely they weren’t born with perfect genetics but instead visited a cosmetic dentist for dental veneers. Veneers conceal small flaws and imperfections, transforming your enamel into straighter, fuller, and whiter teeth in just two visits to Wynyard Dental Clinic. These cosmetic restorations are designed specifically for aesthetic enhancement.

What Do Veneers Correct?

With custom veneers, it’s possible to hide or minimise the signs of teeth with:

Unlike dental crowns, veneers only cover the front surface of your teeth rather than the entire tooth. They wrap around the edges gently, ensuring that the margins of the restoration are not visible when you smile. However, because they are primarily used for cosmetic enhancement, veneers are not suitable for treating large cavities, fractures, or as a post-root canal restoration.

Planning for Your Treatment

Getting veneers begins with an initial evaluation and consultation to discuss your desired smile and determine how many teeth will be involved. Some individuals may require as few as six veneers, while others opt for 10 or more. We’ll provide a treatment plan and discuss financing options before proceeding. Once you’re ready, we’ll schedule a preparation appointment. During this visit, we’ll gently reduce the thickness of your enamel to ensure the veneers fit comfortably. An impression will be taken and sent to our lab, where your porcelain veneers are meticulously crafted by hand. Approximately two weeks later, you’ll return to our office for the final bonding of your porcelain veneers into place.

What About Chairside Veneers?

Composite veneers are a type of cosmetic treatment that we can complete in one day, instead of two. However, these veneers are typically reserved for one or two problematic teeth, rather than multiple ones across your entire smile.

We’ll bond the material onto your tooth and cure it into place, immediately masking any aesthetic flaws. Numbing may not even be necessary.
